i just cut mine off (they were just reaching over a year of growth) and honestly i sometimes look back and regret it. but i was also having a lot of scalp issues along with buildup in my locs. im saddened by my loss but im excited to restart my loc journey again and fix mistakes i made in the past

If you have a repair tool you can strengthen the Locs. It’s better than nothing. I rather pick the lint out and use the tool to repair.

I really do not think that is lint, it’s build up. If your digging through the loc and it’s white all the way through its build up. Hot Water and Dawn dish soap , massage it through and press out squeeze it and a good rinse will get that out. To maintain, thoroughly wash ends of Locs after washing hair as all dirt oil gels go to bottom of loc where ball is and sits there. Rinse end’s thoroughly.
